Public Notice:
Department Accreditation

The Ridgefield Park Police Department is scheduled for an On-Site assessment as part of the process to maintain accreditation status by verifying that it meets recognized professional best practices.

Administered by the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police, the accreditation program requires agencies to comply with standards that represent the best practices in Law Enforcement.  The accreditation process is rigorous and includes a close examination of the agency's written directive system, administration, operations, facility and support services.

As part of the On-Site assessment, agency employees and members of the community are invited to offer comments to the accreditation assessors assigned to the On-Site assessment by calling 201-708-8120 on Friday, May 20th, 2022 between 10am to 11am.  Telephone comments are limited to 5 minutes and must address the agency's ability to comply with the accreditation standards.  A copy of the standards manual is available for review at the Ridgefield Park Police Department, 234 Main Street, Ridgefield Park, NJ 07660.  Please contact Sgt. Todd Milo at 201-641-6400 ext. 140 for more information.
