Child Safety Seats

New Jersey’s child passenger safety law requires: Children under 8 years of age who weigh less than 80 pounds to ride properly secured in a child safety seat or booster seat in the rear seat of the vehicle. If there is no rear seat, the child may sit in the front seat but he/she must be secured by a child safety sear or booster seat.

All child safety seat installations should be inspected.  The Ridgefield Park Police Department will assist you with your child safety seat installation. To schedule an appointment contact Sgt Todd Milo at 201-641-6400 or carseat@rppd.org

This service is for residents of the Village of Ridgefield Park only.
