RPPD seeks Re-Accreditation




accredsmThe Ridgefield Park Police Department is scheduled for an on-site assessment as part of the process to maintain accreditation status by verifying that it meets recognized professional best practices.

Administered by the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police, the accreditation program requires agencies to comply with standards that represent the best practices in Law Enforcement. The accreditation process is rigorous and includes a close examination of the agency’s written directive system, administration, operations, facility and support services. 

As part of the on-site assessment, agency employees and members of the community are invited to offer comments to the accreditation assessors assigned to the on-site assessment by calling 201-229-1035 on Monday, February 22, 2016 between 09:00am-11:00am.  Telephone comments are limited to 5 minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with the accreditation standards.
